Canada's 39th annual Juno Awards will be held Sunday, April 18, this year in St. Johns, Newfoundland. This morning brought the announcement of the year's nominees, with Drake, Tegan and Sara and Metric among those in the running for a statuette.
Drake Best I Ever Had" is up for Single of the Year while his So Far Gone is considered for Rap Recording of the Year. Tegan and Sara compete against Handsome Furs, Japandroids and Metric for Alternative Album of the Year. Metric’s Emily Haines and James Shaw are in the running for Songwriter of the Year for Fantasies, and Diana Krall' Quiet Nights is nominated in the Vocal Jazz Album of the Year category. The real star this year, though, is Michael Buble, who leads the pack with six nominations. Go Buble!
