Tegan And Sara

Vancouver’s twin sisters of folk-rock, Tegan And Sara, have just returned from their U.S. tour with Ryan Adams and are already taking on Canada for a full nationwide tour.

Tegan and Sara were originally going to tour the great white north earlier this fall, but when they were asked to tour with Adams, it was an offer they couldn’t refuse.

So, starting today, the duo and their band hit the road to headline their very own tour called Born In The Eighties in support of their newly-released second album, If It Was You. The new album is the follow-up to their well-received debut, 2000’s This Business Of Art.

Now Canadian fans coast to coast have the chance to see the sisters perform their brand of poppy rock live as they make several stops in BC, Ontario, Quebec and more throughout this November.

They will also be making a special guest appearance on CTV’s Mike Bullard on November 15, so be sure to tune in for that. Even if it means having to put up with Mike’s sorry-ass jokes.

The American tour was highly successful, as Tegan and Sara opened for Adams, playing in front of numerous sold-out crowds, including shows in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.

In the past, the twins also toured with the Lilith Fair and have played shows with Neil Young, The Pretenders and Rufus Wainwright. Not bad for a couple of gals from Calgary.
