Headline: Tegan and Sara "So Jealous" You Won't Believe Your Ears
It's been four years since Tegan & Sara emerged on the U.S. music scene. Two fresh faced young ladies with acoustic guitars strapped to their backs, they spent the summer of 2000 on the road with Neil Young and The Pretenders in support of their U.S. debut This Business of Art. Those that had the opportunity to see and meet these two knew then that they were something special. When 2002's If It Was You hit stores in August, those early believers were vindicated and a whole host of new fans and supporters quickly picked up the flag. Joining forces in the studio with producers David Carswell and John Collins (New Pornographers), the album recorded largely on Galiano Island off the British Columbia coast, was classic pop-rock, but vibrant, exhilarating and found Tegan & Sara emerging with a sound all their own. "Time Running" launched the record with a kick in the teeth and those who up til then thought Tegan & Sara acoustic folkies were left with their blood drying in the dust.

Now Tegan & Sara are set to present to the world So Jealous, due this Fall on Vapor/Sanctuary. With piles of demos written on both coasts (Sara lives in Montreal, Tegan in Vancouver), Tegan & Sara hit Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, this time manning both sides of the booth, along with Carswell, Collins & Howard Redekopp, laying down tracks fast and furious. Joined by their loyal rhythm section of Rob Chursinoff and Chris Carlson, along with Matt Sharp (ex-Weezer/Rentals) on keyboards, So Jealous displays two songwriters maturing; confident and powerful. Tegan & Sara raised the bar, upped the ante, then took flight well over both. The album builds with the opening "You Wouldn't Like Me", exploding into pure pop bliss, setting the standard for a record that is undeniable, anthemic and diverse. "I Bet It Stung" is a slap in the face, "Where Did The Good Go" euphoric, "Speak Slow" a pure sugar rush, and the title track distinct, shifting from synth-idling to guitar-driven fifth gear. There will be a video for the first single, "Walking With A Ghost."

Tegan & Sara will hit the road this Fall in support of So Jealous. The dynamic duo, with their band, have already toured with such artists as Ryan Adams, Hot Hot Heat, Ben Folds and many others. Their live performances bring to life the rawness and charm that is these two unique and wonderful young ladies.
