Album Review

"If you yearn to get the sensation of being a little kid at Christmas, getting the gift you've been hoping and praying for, then rip into the new Tegan and Sara, and feel your eyes start to glitter. I was afraid that the Canadian folk twins were on the road to becoming Ani DiFranco wannabes, but If It Was You shows that they have grown up and settled down into the comfy couch of their own sound. The music is complex, ranging from '80s new wave pop(very Cars-like on 'I Hear Noises') to the wonderfully upbeat, bluegrass-y 'Living Room.' The diversity on this album is exciting, refreshing, and addictive, so take a hit off a couple of tracks and absorb the experience."
