Headline: TEGAN AND SARA - Under Feet Like Ours (Plunk)

Tegan and Sara are wise but not world-weary 19-year-old twin sisters from Calgary whose album features mature vocals, confident acoustic guitar playing and songs that are simultaneously smart and full of youthful naiveté, not to mention strong pop arrangements. Three songs -- "Hype," "Freedom" and "Superstar" -- allude to their distaste with the attention bestowed on the young, talented and good-looking. The production is a bit glossy, which works against the folkier numbers but enhances the ones on which they delve into programmed beats. They're already at work on a follow-up with producer Hawksley Workman, whose style should click perfectly with the wonder twins' talents. (Tegan and Sara play Ted's Wrecking Yard tonight.)
